JKPL condoles death of Mirwaiz Mother-in-law

Senior Hurriyat Leader and Acting Chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has expresses profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of the mother-in-law of APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and prayed Allah Almighty to rest her in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved families to bear the loss.

Press Conference Followed By Executive Meeting Held At APHC Head Office Rajbagh Srinagar


An extra ordinary meeting was held at All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Head office Rajbagh Srinagar today chaired by APHC chairman Mirwaiz Moulvi Mohammad Umer Farooq attended by Prof. Abdul Gani Bhat, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Tari Abdullah, Masroor Abbas, Musadiq Adil, Khalil Mohammad Khalil, Ghulam Nabi Zaki and hundreds other political workers and activists. In the meeting a threadbare discussion was thrashed-out about recent political situation of Kashmir. After executive meeting, a press conference was delivered by Mirwaiz Umer Farooq at Head office. Peoples League Invited By Pakistan High Commsssioner In Pakistan Day Celebrations

A high profile delegation of Jammu Kashmir Peoples League lead by Senior Hurriyat Leader Mukhtar Ahmad Waza along with Secretary General Mohammad Ashraf Vaid left for New Delhi to attend Pakistan Day celebrations and will met with Pakistan High Commissioner, Shahid Malik.

Peoples League during their meeting with Pakistani High Commissioner will discuss the present political and human rights situation in Kashmir.

Mukhtar Waza expresses confidence that Pakistan will continue its political, moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris’ just struggle for right to self-determination.

Mukhtar Waza emphasized that the government of Pakistan was of the firm opinion that peace and stability would elude South Asia till the Kashmir issue remained unresolved.

Waza pointed out that Pakistan had a historical and unique role vis-à-vis the Kashmir dispute and the country had been extending wholehearted political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiris’ struggle for their right of self-determination.

India Create Hurdle In Resolving Kashmir Issue: Chairman Peoples League ; Sheikh Mohammad Yaqoob

Senior Hurriyat Leader and Chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples League, Sheikh Mohammad Yaqoob in a statement has said that India’s stubbornness on Kashmir is the main impediment to settle the long-standing dispute. Sheikh Yaqoob reiterated that the resolution of the Kashmir dispute according to the aspirations of Kashmiris is vital to peace and stability in South Asia. Yaqoob maintained that the relations between Pakistan and India could only be normalized through the amicable solution of the long-standing dispute. Yaqoob said that India had adopted a dual policy as, on the one hand, it showed readiness for dialogue on he Kashmir dispute, while, on the other, it was trying to quell the ongoing freedom struggle in Kashmir through use of brute force.

Sheikh Yaqoob also condemns the gross human rights violation in Kashmir, and called on HR bodies to help the people of Kashmir on this critical situation. He said that India is just playing game and until India plays game, the peace will be a dream. He said that killing of innocent civilians, rape, torture and extra judicial killings by military forces must stop in Kashmir. He said that Kashmir issue can be resolved only if India accepts the UN resolutions and let the people of Kashmir decide their future according to UN resolutions.

Sheikh Mohammad Yaqoob called for UN investigation for war crimes against Indian army in Kashmir. He said that India has committed war crimes in Kashmir, and these crimes must be investigated by World body. He said that killings are still going on and only way we can stop these killing is to raise the issue in UN.
