Waza appeals People to Observe Eid-ul-Azha with Extreme Austerity



Srinagar, October 14: Senior Hurriyat Leader and Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza in a declaration has felicitated Muslim brethren on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr and urged people of Kashmir to observe this carnival with extreme austerity.
 Waza has urged people to pray for the elevation-status of Kashmiri martyrs. Waza asked the people to express solidarity with the families of martyrs and wounded persons by visiting their houses on the day. Waza has appealed the people to help the families of their Kashmiri brethren, who were injured or martyred by Indian police and troops during thelast decades .
Waza maintained that the ongoing movement is for justice, against the discrimination. “Our struggle is not for territory, our struggle is for people. We believe in right of self-determination of all peoples within Jammu and Kashmir for the resolution, in which of course people will be free to vote for Pakistan, Independence or India. Let democratic exercise of referendum determine the future of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
He also condemed slapping of PSA Mushtaq Ahmad Sheikh (18), a resident of Saidapora area of Srinagar, who is lone brother of Seven Sisters and termed it worst kind of human rights violations.
Waza retreaited his demad for uncodtional release of all political detainees lashing in different jails of india.

India wants to legitimate its rule through Zubin Mehta’s concert: Waza



Srinagar, September 05: Senior Hurriyat leader and Jammu Kashmir people’s league chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today while appealing German Embassy to with hold the decision of organizing musical concert in Kashmir said that concert is amid to legitimate India’s illegal rule and will affect the disputed nature of the state.
Waza in a statement said that Zubin Mehta’s musical concert is being organized under a well planned strategy of cultural aggression and through it India wants legitimate its illegal rule and wants to show the world community caged peace in the valley.

Kashmir will get Freedom despite all odds: Mukhtar Waza



Reiterated to continue the liberation struggle
SRINAGAR, AUGUST 16:
Senior pro freedom leader and Jammu and Kashmir people’s league chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today while reiterating to continue the ongoing peaceful freedom struggle, said that the Kashmiri nation who have scarified their lives will get freedom despite all odds.
Addressing a gathering after Friday prayers in Srigufwara Bijbehara area Waza condemned the restrictions over the movement of people yesterday on the eve of India’s Independence Day and said that Indian security forces turned valley into jail by deploying security forces in every hook and corner of the state and gagging telecommunication service. He said that people were not allowed to move and it was curfew like situation in the valley.
Mukhtar Waza, addressing the gathering advised people not to lose the heart as the freedom of nation is people’s birth right and will get it soon. He said that the Indian troopers were using every tactic including the use of brute force against the innocent people of the Kashmir to suppress the ongoing liberation struggle but they didn’t got any success neither they will as the people will continue to support the movement till it will get its logical conclusion.
“The occupation authorities cannot succeed in their nefarious designs as the people of Kashmir have pledged to secure the right to self-determination despite all odds,” he added.
Waza said that Kashmiris had rendered matchless sacrifices for the Kashmir cause and said that the day was not far when the people of Kashmir would get rid of Indian bondage.
The APHC leader urged India to realise ground realities and shun its unrealistic approach on Kashmir and take concrete steps to settle the 67 years old dispute.
“The resolution of the Kashmir dispute is a pre-requisite for permanent peace in South Asia,” he maintained.

Besides party general setrey Mohd Ashraf Sofi, Political sectrey Gulam Qadir Rah, Chief Organizer Farooq Ahmad Dar, Spokesman Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Provincials president Sahkeel-ul-Rehman, Chief coordinator Jaffar Kashmiri, Publicity sectrey Aijaz Ahmad Wani, Assistant sectary Gulam Ahmad Mir,  Distrcit president Bashir Ahmad Kana, shabir ahmad, Gazi Ab Rashid, Manzoor Ahmad Najjar, Mohd Ramzan Wandroo Zulfikar and others.
