Peoples League strongly condemns attack on Fazl Haq Querashi

In an extraordinary meeting at Mirwaiz’s residence Nigeen presided over by the APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and was attended by other Senior Hurriyat Executives which include Prof. Abdul Gani Bhat, Bilal Gani Lone, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Shabir Ahmad Shah and Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi. A threadbare discussion was held in the meeting about recent development vis-à-vis Kashmir. APHC strongly denounced the attack on senior Hurriyat leader Fazl Haq Querashi. Fazl Haq Qureshi was attacked by blunt objects yesterday, after he was coming out of a mosque in Soura, where he had offered Maghrib prayers. He has got injuries in his skull and doctors have described his condition as precarious. Meanwhile a delegation of Jammu Kashmir Peoples League headed by Mukhtar Ahmad Waza visited SKIMS to enquire his health condition. Mukhtar Waza condemns the assassination attempt and added that it is a great tragedy. Waza reaffirmed its commitment to the dialogue process, saying they would not be cowed down by such attacks and the path of self-determination would be perused, come what may.
