Senior Leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and acting chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has strongly condemns the arrest of senior Peoples League Leader Mohammad Maqbool Sofi from his residence soura early this morning. Waza maintained that the arrest of sofi and other activists would not break the will of Kashmiris from continuing their struggle for right to self-determination.
Waza said for the past several months India was following Israeli pattern of oppression by arresting profreedom leaders and activists and spraying bullets on peaceful protestors and children in Kashmir. Waza has condemned the unauthentic, undemocratic and terrorizing tactics of occupation authorities in Kashmir to thwart the peaceful protest demonstrations. He said that terrorizing the people, denying them their right of holding peaceful protest demonstrations and curtailing their political activities reflected the dictatorial behaviour of so-called largest democracy of the world. Waza said that unabated Indian state terrorism had strengthened the resolve and commitment of Kashmiris to achieve their inalienable right to self-determination at all costs.
Meanwhile another senior Peoples League Leader Shakeel ul Rehman after Friday prayers has launched strong protest at wagoora Baramulla against alleged human rights violations in the Valley. Shakeel took out a rally to generate attention and action against the alleged human rights violations by the armed forces in the Valley. He said that instead of resolving the Kashmir dispute, India was using coercive means to muzzle the just voice of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination.
