Kashmir settlement possible through dialogue: JKPL

In continuation to door to door campaign Senior Hurriyat Leader and Acting Chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza accompanied with party workers and activists visited various parts of district Anantnag. While addressing an impressive gathering at Breng, Anantnag Mukhtar Waza has emphasized that Kashmir is a political dispute which can be resolved through dialogue process involving Pakistan, India and the Kashmiri people. Waza maintained that New Delhi should withdraw its troops from Kashmir, repeal black laws, remove bunkers and release Kashmiri detainees to create an atmosphere for resolving the dispute.

Waza strongly condemns the on-going spree of mass-arrest of youth on allegations of participation in indigenous movement. Whereas hundreds of youth have already been detained under the similar allegations. By these unwarranted arrests, common people are being intimidated and are as such facing a worst kind of uncertainty regarding their children. Waza demanded an immediate release of all illegally detained Kashmiri leaders and activists.
