Appeals UN to establish International crime tribunal in Kashmir
Srinagar, May 29: Jammu and Kashmir people’s League chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza while paying glowing tributes to Asiya and Nelofar on their 4th death anniversary, who were raped and murdered by security forces has appealed united nations to establish International crime tribunal in Kashmir for prosecuting those responsible for atrocities done by Indian security forces in the conflict zone from during past decades.
Waza in a press statement said that it is shame for India that claims to be a democratic country for not probing the shopian incident thoroughly. “It is shame for them that couldn’t probe the incident of double rape and murder of shopian besides they claim of having a democracy.” adding the Indian investigative agency shielded the real culprits involved in the heinous crime because of their strong political back.
He appealed United Nations to establish an international crime tribunal in Kashmir to probe the atrocities’ done by Indian armed forces from the time they illegally occupied Kashmir, as the Indian authorities have virtually failed to grant justice to victims in the state.
“Kashmir dispute is internationally accepted dispute so they know the atrocities done by the Indian armed forces as to keep state in their illegal occupation. Hence we appeal United Nations to establish a crime tribunal in the state for prosecuting Indian armed forces involved in genocides and atrocities like Kanonposhpora, Shopian, uncounted massacres in which thousands of kashmiri people lost their lives.” He said.
Waza also appealed UN to pressurize Indo-Pak countries just for granting right to self determination to the kashmiri people who have given uncounted scarifies from last 66 years. He said that kashmiri people will continue their freedom struggle by peaceful means that Kashmir issue gets resolved as per the aspirations of kashmiri people
