Jammu and Kashmir People’s league chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today while decrying the slow pace of judiciary system, castigated state government authorities and its agencies for lashing a reign of terror among the people of valley and continuing violating human rights.
Mukhtar Waza addressing a get together in South Kashmir’ s Islamabad district decried the slow pace of judiciary in probing the cases of innocent killings, rape cases of kashmiri women in which Indian security forces are involved as well as in providing justice to the political prisoners of region.
“It is very unfortunate that the Judiciary system of India and of occupied territory is not fairly paying heeds to the victimized kashmiri people. Due to the slow of pace of judiciary system kashmiri victimized people are still awaiting for justice and political prisoners of the valley continue to lash inhumanly inside the jails.” Waza said.
Waza said that jail immunities were being deprived of their basic rights as well as are being subjected to inhumanly that goes unnoticed every day.
He said that under the grab of special laws like Armed Special Powers Act. (AFSPA), Indian security agencies continue to violate human rights violations without any hesitation.
“Human rights violations continue to take place in the valley; valley was virtually turned into a jail on the eve of Indian Prime Ministers visit before few days. Political people without any justification were imprisoned and youths were jailed.” Waza said, adding such steps and rights violations can’t help India to rule the hearts of people or win the heads of people.
Taking a dig on the Indian Prime Ministers visit, Waza said, “Not mentioning the Kashmir issue in his speech Indian prime minister disclosed his rigid Kashmir policy that could led the country to destruction only.”
He appealed international community to take strong note of human rights violations done by the Indian security agencies and pressurize the both the countries for early resolution of Kashmir dispute
