Kashmir resolution imperative for peace in South Asia: Mohd

Mohd Yaseen Attie on Friday while addressing gathering in Howoora area of
Budgam highlighted the significance of Holy month of Ramadan and urged people
to fallow Quran for better life and Akirah (the hereafter).
Demanding a peaceful resolution of Kashmir conflict
according to United Nation resolutions and wishes of Kashmiris people, Attie
said that the big giants of South Aisa-India and Pakistan on verge to fight a fresh
war which could prove disastrous for the whole south Asia.
He said that both the countries have fought three wars over
the issue and pushing the same issue into ice-box can collapse their relations.
Attie said that without resolving Kashmir conflict, India and Pakistan can’t
smooth their relations and cooperation.
He said that Kashmir was never a border dispute between
Indo-pak countries but was an issue of ‘right to self determination’ and future
pertaining to 2.5 million Kashmiris. Saying India can’t crush the ongoing
freedom movement through its armed forces, Attie said that India has accepted
international commitments and United Nation resolutions.
He said that for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue,
India needs to shun its stagnant Kashmir policy as the peaceful resolution of
Kashmir conflict is imperative for the peace and prosperity of whole South
Asian region.
Meanwhile, Mohd Yaseen Attie also expressed sympathy with
the agitating students of Kashmir University and condemned the use of brute
force by the authorities on them who are protesting against their colleague.
