Police implicating youth in baseless cases: JKPL
Vice Chairman, Mohd Yaseen Attaie acquitted
Srinagar, June 4, 2015: Castigating authorities, Jammu
Kashmir Peoples league spokesman, Abdul Hamid Illahie Thursday accused New
Delhi for terrorizing Kashmiri youth and implicating them along with
pro-freedom leaders and activists in baseless and fabricated cases.
He said that under the same repressive strategy several
baseless FIR’s were stands registered against vice chairman Mohd Yaseen Attie
and in the previous month (May) he was forced to attend courts in Budgam and
Srinagar in a single day. Authorities have booked Attie shab for leading a
protest demonstration against hanging of Dr Afzal Guru and Mohd Maqbool Bhat.
“on 9 of February in 2013 police registered a case (FIR)
38/2013 u/s 147,148,144,188,336,341 RPC against Mohd Yaseen Attie, syed Imtiyaz
Hyder, Mohd Yousf Nadeem, Bashir Ahmad Bhat and Mohd Yousf Bhat for holding a
protest demonstration against the hanging of our two heroes- Dr Afzal Guru and
Mohd Maqbool Bhat,” he said.
Spokesman said that one more FIR u/s 124,341, 147 was
registered in 2005 against vice chairman for taking out a protest rally against
the detention of Shaheed-e-Azeemat Sheikh Abdul Aziz. Senior leaders including
Khan Sopori, Mohd Saleem Zargar, Haji Qadoos, Mia Manzoor, Parvez Ahmad Dar and
Mohd Maqbool Sofi were also implicated in this case and are being forced to
attend court regularly.
Spokesman said that Vice Chairman, Mohd Yaseen Attaie and
other senior pro-freedom leaders including Mohd Ashraf Seharie, Ghulam Nabi
Sumji, Syed Imtiyaz Hyder, were acquitted in case which was registered them in
2007.
He said that acquittal of Vice Chairman Peoples League, Mohd
Yaseen Attaie must serve eye-opener for the human rights respecting community.
He urged international human rights organizations to use
their influence in stopping the arrest spree in Kashmir, amid to crush the
freedom sentiments of Kashmiris.
