Waza slams India
for ‘sponsored’ remarks, says it is Intifada against occupation
Srinagar, July
21:
Incarcerated
senior APHC leader and Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza
on Thursday slammed India for ‘sponsored’ remarks and said that this is Intifada
against Indian occupation and oppression not the sponsored unrest as the Indian
state calls it.
Party
Spokesman quoting incarcerated chairman said that Kashmiris have burnt the most
due to illegal occupation and suppression lashed on them by the occupational
troopers but this time people have made firm stand to break the chains of
occupation and secure the ineligible birth right ‘right to self determination’ guaranteed
by United Nations.
He slammed
New Delhi and Indian biased media outlets for calling the Kashmiri Intifada a ‘sponsored
unrest’. Waza said that like Media the New Delhi prefers to remain in denial
mood which could have serious repressions in coming times.
Waza thanked
Pakistan for political, moral and diplomatic support and urged the country to intensify
its plan for highlighting the grave human rights violations being perpetrated by
the security forces.
He asked
government to shun its dual standards and fulfill promise of Pt.Jawhar Lal
Nehru which he made with the people of Kashmir at historical Lal Chowk in
Srinagar.
APHC leader
said that oppression and suppression can’t crush the ongoing freedom movement
and neither the aspirations nor whishes of Kashmiri people which they are
expressing by offering sacrifices, can’t be muzzled with the barrel of gun.
APHC leaders
said that instead of using delay tact’s Indian government must come forward for
the early resolution of Kashmir dispute according to UN resolutions.
APHC leader also
expressed solidarity with the families of slain youth and those who sustained grave
bullet and pellet injuries. Waza urged people to fallow the joint program
Hurriyat leadership with discipline and steadfastness.
