Srinagar, August 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (ML) organized a seminar to pay glowing tributes to senior martyred APHC leader, Sheikh Abdul Aziz.
The seminar titled ‘Importance of August 11, in 62 years resistance movement”, with the President of High Court Bar Association, Mian Abdul Qayoom in chair, was organised in connection with the first martyrdom anniversary of Sheikh Abdul Aziz.
Speakers on the occasion described the August 11, as a milestone in the ongoing liberation movement. “On this day the Lakhs of Kashmiris made the beginning of their historical journey,” they said.
They also demanded immediate release of Syed Ali Gilani, Aasiya Andrabi, Masarat Alam Butt, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi Muhammad Yousuf Mir, Abdul Ahad Parra and other illegally detained Hurriyet leaders. The speakers included Zamrooda Habib, Parvaiz Imroz, Faroze Ahmad Khan, Arshad Andrabi and Muhammad Sadaq Isllahi,
On the other hand, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) also paid homage to the martyred leader, Sheikh Abdul Aziz on the eve of his first martyrdom anniversary. Addressing a public gathering at Kregam in Budgam, the JKLF Acting Chairman, Bashir Ahmad Butt saluted Sheikh Aziz other Kashmiris who laid down their lives for the liberation of their homeland from Indian bondage. »
