member of APHC M.Waza in a statement strongly condemns the killing of
70 years old Habibullah in Handwara by Indian Troops in a fke
encounter. He said that it is the worst kind of state terrorism, added
that with this real face of so called democracy exposes.
He took strong exception to the Indian army Chief’s opposition to the
repeal of draconian law, Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA),
which was the real cause of gross human rights violations in the
occupied territory. He said that in the presence of the black law
human right situation couldn’t be improved in occupied Kashmir
.
M.Waza urged India to create conducive atmosphere for resolving the
Kashmir dispute by repealing the black laws including the AFSPA in the
territory. He also apples the international human rights organizations
to take notice of theses on going human rights violations in the
valley.
