Indian government has given a free hand to armed forces to kill innocent people of Kashmir: JKPL

Senior Hurriyat Leader and Acting Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza visited the residence of martyred youth, Nazir Ahmed Wani son Abdul Rehman Wani of Bijbehara, Islamabad, and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family. Mukhtar Ahmad Waza along with the senior leaders visited the martyr’s graveyard and prays for the departed soul. While addressing a gathering on the graveyard Waza said that the mission of martyrs will be taken to logical conclusion, despite all odds. Waza strongly condemned the Indian state terrorism in the valley. Mukhtar Waza said that the Indian government has given a free hand to armed forces to kill innocent people of Jammu and Kashmir and use all repressive methods to suppress the ongoing liberation movement.

Waza said that the continued imposition of curfew and indiscriminate use of force by Indian police and troops and arrest of teenagers had been going on in the valley but such repressive tactics couldn’t stop Kashmiris from continuing their just struggle. He maintained that India had failed to crush the freedom sentiment of Kashmiri people despite exhausting all its military might.

Waza said curfew, crackdowns, murder and humiliation of women had become hallmark of the Omar regime to protect India's forcible occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. He warned that Indian regime's days were numbered in the valley due to its own hypocrisy and ferocity and moreover the rulers in Delhi were showing obliviousness to the political atmosphere in the wounded land of the Kashmiris. "India's battle for survival in the valley is like a dying wolf, it's doomed owing to its ethical and popular incapacity to acknowledge the reality, hence better to quit earlier than before, "he remarked.

Waza has reiterated that peace in South Asia will remain elusive if the Kashmir dispute is not resolved in accordance with Kashmiris’ aspirations. He appealed to the international community to play an effective role in settling the Kashmir dispute without any further delay
