Adopt peaceful means for Kashmir resolution: Waza tells Indian PM

Srinagar, October 17: Senior APHC leader and Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today asked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to adopt peaceful means for resolving the Kashmir dispute.
Addressing Friday congregations in Islamabad town today, Mukhtar Waza blamed Indian government and its army for prevailing skirmish on LOC and Border. He said that war isn’t the solution but can only disturb the peace of whole south Asian region.
“Roaring guns on LoC and Border has claimed many lives since from the past weeks, so it is a Kashmiri who is suffering on both sides of LOC or border because of this deliberate confrontation, hence international community must play its effective role in resolving the dispute.” Said Waza

He hailed the statement of United Nations which has asked both the countries to settle the Kashmir dispute through dialogue. “India and Pakistan must now act on the directions of United Nations and must re-open the channels for the comprehensive dialogue on Kashmir issue involving Kashmiri pro-freeodm leadership.” Waza said, adding dialogue is the only way forward for resolving the conflicts.
Waza also hailed the efforts of Pakistani government which they are taking resolving the conflict peacefully. “Kashmiris have never doubted the sincerity of Pakistan, during these days when borders are witnessing skirmishes, Pakistan approached United Nations for intervention into the dispute which is not only satisfactory but worth to praise.” He said, adding Indian government is responsible for the LOC skirmish as they called off the talks earlier in this month which established the fact that India isn’t willing to resolve the dispute through peaceful means.
He said that at a time when flood affected Kashmiris are facing dearth of eatables, housing and other facilities due to devastated floods, Indian government has resorted to cruelty by blocking the international aid as if Kashmiris weren’t human beings
He urged International community to pressurize India for allowing the aid and help the homeless flood victims.
