All parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has said that the resolution of Kashmir is vital to peace and stability in the South Asian region.
The APHC Executive Council members including Prof. Abdul Gani Bhat, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and others during their meeting with New Delhi-based British diplomats, led by its First Secretary, Victoria L Whitefold, who called on them in Srinagar, said that the unresolved Kashmir dispute was an obstacle in developing cordial relationship between Pakistan and India.
The Executive Council members said that the participation of real Kashmiri leadership was essential to make the dialogue process on Kashmir result oriented. They said that Britain had a moral responsibility to play an active role in seeking a peaceful solution to the lingering dispute.
Briefing the delegation about the prevailing situation in the Kashmir Valley, they said that the world community should use its influence with both Pakistan and India to resolve the dispute in accordance with the wishes of Kashmiri people.
