APHC EXECUTIVE MEMBERS MEETING HELD AT SRINAGAR

An extra ordinary meeting was held at All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Head office Rajbagh Srinagar today chaired by its chairman Mirwaiz Moulvi Mohammad Umer Farooq and attended by Prof. Abdul Gani Bhat, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Bilal Gani Lone, Aga Syed Hassan Budgami, Masroor Abbas and Musadiq Adil. Besides Exe. Members General Council members were also in the meeting. In the meeting a threadbare discussion was thrashed-out about recent political situation of Kashmir.

The All Parties Hurriyet Conference has demanded an impartial international probe into the killings in fake encounters staged by Indian troops in Kashmir. The APHC said that the people of Kashmir had no faith in Indian investigating agencies. They maintained that three villagers of Nadihal were killed in a fake encounter by Indian troops in Machil area of Kupwara on 30th April. APHC said that thousands of people had been martyred during the last two decades in custody and fake encounters. They emphasised that human rights violations and the dialogue process could not go together. Later, the APHC members visited Nadihal to express solidarity with the bereaved families of the three martyred youth.

The Acting Chairman of JKPL, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza hammad while flaying the killing of youth in fake encounter, said that the troopers were involved in genocide of Kashmiris. He said that the troops were killing innocent civilians only to get promotions and medals. Waza appeals the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, to take notice of the stepped up Indian state terrorism in Kashmir

NADIHAL KILLING STRONGLY CONDEMNED

Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Acting Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has strongly denounced the killing of three innocent youths of Nadihal area of Rafiabad, Muhammad Shafi Lone, Shehzad Ahmad and Riyaz Ahmed Lone in a fake encounter at Machil in Kupwara by Indian army on April 30. Mukhtar Waza while addressing the participants of a gathering at Malla-akad during zin a door to door campaign deplored that Indian troops were perpetrating gross human rights abuses in Kashmir with impunity. "Such incidents have become a routine and common man is very insecure. India has started state-wide war against the common people of Jammu and Kashmir."

"Marshall law is prevailing here. The nationalist and communal forces of India have unleashed reign of terror in Jammu and Kashmir," Waza said. “The so-called elected government has no control over the troopers who have unprecented special powers,” he said.

APHC leader appealed to the world community and international human rights organizations to help stop massive human rights violations by Indian troops in Kashmir and put pressure on New Delhi to resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris aspirations.“The peace and stability in South Asia can not prevail till the lingering dispute between the nuclear rivals is resolved,” he maintained.

JKPL URGES INDIA TO CREATE FAVORABLE AMBIANCE

Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Acting Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has urged India to create conducive atmosphere for resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the United Nations resolutions. The APHC Leader addressing a public gathering at KREMSU, Ashmuqam in Anantnag district after Friday congregation. Waza said that India should withdraw its troops, release all political prisoners, repeal draconian laws and stop human rights violations in the Kashmir, if it was sincere to hold talks. He maintained that New Delhi must understand that Kashmir was a political issue, which could not be resolved through so-called economic or administrative packages. Waza expressed serious concern over the plight of illegally detained profreedom leaders and activists in different jails of India. “The detainees have developed various ailments in the jails due to non-availability of proper food and medical facilities,” he added.
Waza has deplored that despite the passage of one year the occupation authorities had failed to bring the Indian troops involved in the rape and murder of two women to justice. He reiterated the pledge that the people would not take rest till the perpetrators of Shopian incident were not awarded exemplary punishment.

EXECUTIVE MEETING HELD AT APHC OFFICE SRINAGAR

An important executive meeting was held at All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Head office Rajbagh Srinagar today chaired by its chairman Mirwaiz Moulvi Mohammad Umer Farooq and attended by Prof. Abdul Gani Bhat, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Aga Syed Budgami, Masroor Abbas, Moulana Abdullah Tari, Musadiq Adil and Khalil Mohammad Khalil. In a meeting a threadbare discussion was discussed about recent political situation of Kashmir. The Executive members unanimously decided that they will march towards Shopian on 29 May under its chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq.
Meanwhile Acting Chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Mukhtar Ahmad Waza will address public gathering tomorrow at Ashmuqam after Friday congregration.

JKPL EXPRESSES CONTENTMENT OVER RELEAES OF NAYEEM KHAN

A high level delegation of Jammu Kashmir Peoples League led by its Acting chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza along with General secretary Mohammad Ashraf Vaid, Mohammad Maqbool Sofi, Shakeel ul rehman, Imtiyaz Reshi, Mushtaq Ganie visits residence of Senior Hurriyat Leader Nayeem Ahmad Khan at Barzulla Baghat, who was put under illegal detention for many months by occupation authorities and expressed satisfaction over his release. Waza said that, by release of Nayeem Khan a new soul will get infused in the rank and file of APHC vis-à-vis ongoing freedom struggle. Waza reiterated that the pro-freedom movement, which has heavy sacrifices at its back, will reach to its conclusion and JKPL is optimistic about the fact that the dawn of freedom will be definitely drawn on the horizons of Kashmir. “The illegitimate detention or coercive measures adopted by India in Kashmir cannot kill the resolve of common people,” Waza said, adding, “Martyrs mission will be taken to the logical end.”

Waza expresses serious concern over the deteriorating health condition of pro-freedom leaders including Shabir Ahmad Shah and hopes that India shun its rigidness and will release all pro-freedom leaders.

Waza appealed the world human rights organizations including the Amnesty International to help release Kashmiri prisoners languishing in different interrogation centres and jails inside and outside the Kashmir.

Kashmiris Genuine Leadership Sans would result in Abortion of Dialogue: JKPL

Jammu Kashmir Peoples Leguae (JKPL), a constituent of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Acting Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has stressed the need to include Kashmiris genuine leadership in the talks process between Pakistan and India to make it meaningful. Waza said that Kashmiris were the primary party to the dispute as it was their political destiny, which needed to be decided. He said that resumption of talks between the two countries was a positive development towards building conducive atmosphere for holding tripartite negotiation involving Pakistan, India and true representatives of the Kashmiri people. Waza maintained that non-inclusion of Kashmiris, as primary party in dialogue process would again result in abortion of all such initiatives. Waza reteirated that the Kashmir dispute had been pending for last several years and its amicable settlement would bring durable peace in South Asia.

Peoples League tempts focus of International HR organizations

Jammu Kashmir Peoples League convened an extraordinary meeting at its party headquarter Srinagar chaired by Acting Chairman of Peoples League Mukhtar Ahmad Waza along with other senior Peoples League leaders which includes Mohammad Maqbool Sofi, Gh. Nabi Waseem. Shakeel ul Rehman, Abdul Rashid Gazi, Javid Ahmad, Abdi Hussain, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Nazir Kashmiri, Hilal Ahmad and other PL activists and workers. In a meeting a threadbare discussion was held on present political scenario of Kashmir. While addressing in a meeting Mukhtar Waza appeals to the international human rights organizations to take cognizance of stepped up human rights violations by Indian troops in Kashmir. Waza said that the acts of Indian state terrorism perpetrated against innocent Kashmiris were aimed at silencing their just voice for right to self-determination. Waza urges the United Nations and its member states to impress upon India to stop human rights violations in Kashmir. “The use of brute force by the troops cannot deter Kashmiris resolve to continue struggle against Indian bondage,” he maintained. Waza said that, on one side, the occupation authorities were claiming to take steps for improving the situation, but on the other, Kashmiri youth were being arrested and tortured in the interrogation centers without any justification. Waza urges India to lay-bare political will and address the 63 years old Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiri people. “The international community stands committed to the people of Kashmir and their right to self-determination and various prime ministers of India have promised at different times to give the people of Kashmir this right,” he added.

While concluding the meeting Peoples League said that India were using every tactic to suppress the just voice of Kashmiri people they had been raising for securing right to self-determination but it would never succeed in its nefarious designs. The people of Jammu and Kashmir had rendered matchless sacrifices for the Kashmir liberation and they would take the ongoing liberation movement to its logical end despite all odds, PL pledged.

Waza stresses meaningful talks for Kashmir solution

Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Acting Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza while addressing a public gathering after Friday parishioners at Akhura Mattan Jamia Masjid Anantnag district expresses serious concern over the stepped up human rights violations by Indian troops. “The Indian troops simply want to gag the popular voice for freedom in Kashmir. For this purpose, they have been committing worst human right violations. But they have totally failed to prevent the people of Kashmir from pursuing their struggle for right of self-determination,” he added.

Mukhtar Waza said our political, administrative, social and other human rights have been trampled by India for the past 63 years. Arrests, rapes, custodial disappearances, third degree torture are routine. Thousands of our youth have been martyred for raising voice demanding their political rights. “The international community and the Indian civil society must come forward to stop the abuses here and support and help in the resolution of the issue”, he said. Waza called upon the world community and international human rights organizations to take steps against such inhuman actions of the occupation authorities in Kashmir.

While welcoming Foreign Ministers level talks between Pakistan and India, Waza said that the time has come to initiate meaningful and result-oriented dialogue so that a peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute could be found. Waza Maintained that both the countries should talk on the Kashmir dispute because all other problems including water, Cir Creek and Siachen would automatically be resolved after solution of the Kashmir dispute.

Kashmir solution vital for peace in South Asia: JKPL

An extraordinary meeting was held at Peoples League Central Office Rajbagh Srinagar which was chaired by Acting Chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza attended by a class of intellectuals including party general secretary Mohd Ashraf Vaid, Gh. Nabi Waseem, Mohammad Maqbool Sofi, Dr. Wafaye, Advocate Ajaz Bhat, Advocate Mumtaz Kapda, Munshi Nazir Ahmad, Engineer Fayaz, Dr. Imtiyaz Reshi, Dr. Manzoor Ahmad, Engineer Nisar Ahmad, Abid Hussain Bhat and Mr. Afaaq Ahmad. While addressing a get-together Mukhtar Waza said that the settlement of the Kashmir dispute is imperative not only for South Asia but also for the world peace. Waza asked India to give up the rigid stand and come forward for meaningful dialogue. “We don’t want war between India and Pakistan but want permanent peace which is only possible through the solution of Kashmir issue”, Waza said. Waza reiterated that Kashmir issue being more human than political, the world Samaritans must address the sufferings of naïve Kashmiris, so we must be having the criterion that let we not inherit Kashmir in bad state of affairs to upcoming generation. Waza urged Indian rulers to read the writing on the wall and take steps to resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris aspirations.

Waza has strongly denounced the illegal detention of Hurriyat leaders including Shabir Ahmed Shah under the black law, Public Safety Act. Waza expresses serious concern over the plight of detainees by jail administration. He said that proper food and medical facilities were not being provided to the illegally detained Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders and activists in jails. He demanded immediate release of all illegally detained Kashmir Hurriyat leaders and activists including Shabir Ahmad Shah.
