Kashmiris totally refuse election process: Sheikh Yaqoob

Chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Sheikh Mohammad Yaqoob in s statement said that the people of Kashmir totally reject India’s polls process neither these sham elections could resolve the Kashmir tangle in the past nor it will change the nature of the dispute.
Sheikh Yaqoob reposed full trust upon the dynamic leadership of chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Moulvi Mohammad Umer Farooq along with the capacious constituents of pro-freedom amalgam or their representatives. It is only APHC which represents the sentiments, wishes, desires and aspirations of the naïve Kashmiris and upholds the mission of martyrs. The martyrs of Kashmir are our sacred assets and their mission shall be continued till the logical conclusion, there is no doubt about it, Yaqoob said. Sheikh maintained that elections could not be a substitute of Kashmiris Right to Self-determination and urged upon the international community to play its role in bringing about a just settlement of the Kashmir dispute through earnest mediations.

Sheikh Yaqoob swears to continue freedom struggle

Chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples League in statement has strongly denounced the illegitimate house arrests of various pro-freedom leaders including chairman APHC Mirwaiz Moulvi Mohammad Umer Farooq. The crackdown on Hurriyat leaders and activists is totally undemocratic and is just to strangulate the genuine voice of Kashmiris who are struggling for the just cause, Yaqoob said.
To prevent Muslims from performing their religious duties and even not allowing to offer their Juma prayers amounts to interfering into the religious affairs of Muslims which should be condemned at all levels, Sheikh said. Chairman Peoples League Sheikh Yaqoob maintain that mission of martyrs shall be continued at any cost till to the logical conclusion.

Peoples League applauds Pakistan PM`s remarks on Kashmir

Chairman Jammu Kashmir People League, Sheikh Mohammad Yaqoob in a statement has applauded the statement of Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani in which he said that "Kashmir is a core issue between Pakistan and India”, other outstanding issues cannot settled without acceptable and durable resolution, Pakistan PM has urged upon international communities to help for resolving the core issue.
Although there are several instances in which two countries have been agreed to go for the agreements in the Past, but when Kashmir is put on back burner -- yielded no results, Yaqoob said.
Both India and Pakistan being the responsible Nuclear Nations, it is mandatory upon them to solve the much vexed issue of Kashmir-now a nuclear flash-point through meaningful negotiations.
Meanwhile Chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples League also welcomed the statement of Former President of Pakistan, General Pervaiz Musharraf in which he said that Barak Obama’s foreign policy in Asia will not yield results unless and until core issue of Kashmir is not resolved as per the wishes of common Kashmiris. Sheikh Yaqoob maintained that in the garb of so-called parliamentary elections in Kashmir where people are being harassed and put in different concentrations camps and are psychologically tortured which he strongly condemns.
