Senior Pro-freedom leader and Chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples league today expressed grief over the sad demise of mother of Islamic Student League Chairman Shakeel Ahmad Bakshi.
Yaqoob paid rich tributes to deceased lady and prayed for the eternal peace to the departed soul.
Meanwhile, a delegation led by party Vice Chairman Mohd Yaseen Attie visited the residence of pro-freedom leaders Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, Shakeel Ahmad Bakhshi and martyr Shariq Ahmad Bakhshi and expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of their mother.
He was accompanied by party leaders including Haji Qadoos, Ghulam Nabi Darzi, Reyaz Ahmad Mir and Abdul Hameed Illhie.
Attie shab addressed the gathering and expressed sympathy with the family. He also paid rich tributes to martyr Shariq Ahmad Bakhshi.
He said that the deceased lady was pious and her contributions can’t be ignored.

Police implicating youth in baseless cases: JKPL

Srinagar, June 29, 2015: Castigating authorities, Jammu Kashmir Peoples league spokesman, Abdul Hamid Illahie Thursday accused New Delhi for terrorizing Kashmiri youth and implicating them along with pro-freedom leaders and activists in baseless and fabricated cases. 
He said that under the same repressive strategy several baseless FIR’s were stands registered against vice chairman Mohd Yaseen Attie and today was forced to attend courts in Budgam and Srinagar in a single day. Authorities have booked Attie shab for leading a protest demonstration against hanging of Dr Afzal Guru and Mohd Maqbool Bhat.

Pro-freedom leader and Jammu Kashmir Peoples league Chairman Mohd Yaseen Attie on Friday while addressing gathering in Howoora area of Budgam highlighted the significance of Holy month of Ramadan and urged people to fallow Quran for better life and Akirah (the hereafter).
Demanding a peaceful resolution of Kashmir conflict according to United Nation resolutions and wishes of Kashmiris people, Attie said that the big giants of South Aisa-India and Pakistan on verge to fight a fresh war which could prove disastrous for the whole south Asia.

He said that both the countries have fought three wars over the issue and pushing the same issue into ice-box can collapse their relations. Attie said that without resolving Kashmir conflict, India and Pakistan can’t smooth their relations and cooperation.

He said that Kashmir was never a border dispute between Indo-pak countries but was an issue of ‘right to self determination’ and future pertaining to 2.5 million Kashmiris. Saying India can’t crush the ongoing freedom movement through its armed forces, Attie said that India has accepted international commitments and United Nation resolutions.  
He said that for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue, India needs to shun its stagnant Kashmir policy as the peaceful resolution of Kashmir conflict is imperative for the peace and prosperity of whole South Asian region.
Meanwhile, Mohd Yaseen Attie also expressed sympathy with the agitating students of Kashmir University and condemned the use of brute force by the authorities on them who are protesting against their colleague.

Senior Pro-Freedom leader and Jammu Kashmir Peoples league Vice Chairman Mohd Yaseen Attaie today expressed serious concern over the eviction of Muslims in Jammu on the name of a staged encroachment drive.
He said that communal forces including Hindu fringe elements like RSS is hell bent to repeat 1947 in Jammu and wants to disrupt the Hindu-Muslim brotherhood in Jammu region by forcibly evicting them from their homes and lands.
Expressing sympathies with Jammu Muslims, Attaie said that Peoples league will not allow communal forces to oppress Muslims in Jammu and disrupt the prevailing communal harmony.

Condemns brutal killing of innocent Sikh Youth in Jammu

Srinagar, June 5: Senior Pro-freedom leader and Jammu Kashmir Peoples league vice Chairman Mohd Yaseen Attie on Friday said that Peaceful settlement in accordance with United Nations resolutions will ensure durable peace in South Asia.
Accompanied by senior party leaders including Haji Qadoos, Abdul Hameed Illhaie, Reyaz Ahmad Mir, Mohi-u-din Nengroo, Mohd Yaseen Attie while addressing a mammoth gathering in Rathan Budgam after Friday prayers said that the Kashmir dispute poses a serious threat to the peace in South Asia.
He said that said that settlement of the lingering dispute in accordance with the auspicious UN resolutions and Kashmiris’ aspiration was imperative for ensuring durable peace in Kashmir and the South Asian region. Attie said that Kashmir dispute pushed both the Indo-Pak countries in poverty due which people of both the countries were suffering.

Authorities have booked Attie shab for leading a protest demonstration against hanging of Dr Afzal Guru and Mohd Maqbool Bhat.
“on 9 of February in 2013 police registered a case (FIR) 38/2013 u/s 147,148,144,188,336,341 RPC against Mohd Yaseen Attie, syed Imtiyaz Hyder, Mohd Yousf Nadeem, Bashir Ahmad Bhat and Mohd Yousf Bhat for holding a protest demonstration against the hanging of our two heroes- Dr Afzal Guru and Mohd Maqbool Bhat,” he said.

Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League Chairman Sheikh Mohmmad Yaqoob on Wednesday condemned attacks on telecom outlets in Kashmir and termed it handiwork of Indian intelligence agencies.
“India and its intelligence agencies are trying to cut off Kashmiris from the rest of the world by widening the telecommunication system by attacking them, so that they can sensor the grave human rights violations perpetrated by Indian forces. But its stark reality that India has illegally occupied the Jammu and Kashmir and for holding the illegal occupation its forces are oppressing Kashmiris and suppressing their genuine demand of right to self determination,” Sheikh Mohmmad Yaqoob said.
He said that Kashmiris will never allow India and its intelligence agencies to succeed and will resist any such move which is anti-freedom movement. “In this age, Telecommunication is the backbone of our freedom system, through it we are easily conveying our sufferings to the rest of the world so any such move amid to close down telecommunication will be resisted at any cost,” he added.
Expressing sympathies with those who became the victims of these Indian sponsored attacks, Sheikh Mohmmad Yaqoob thanked cellular services providers who restored their service in various areas of Kashmir today.
