Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League bereaved Hamidullah Bawani, Parvaiz Hyder



Srinagar, Oct 30: Jammu and Kashmir people’s league today expressed shock over the sad demise of Hamidullah Bawni’s wife that passed away on 27th of this month.
A high level Delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, headed by Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today visited the house of Hamidullah Bawani, a renowned social activist of  Dooru Shahabad Islamabad  
Mukhtar waza expressed shock over the sad demise of Dr Bawani’s wife and termed a great loss to the movement. He said that she was a pious woman and during which he helped Kashmir freedom movement.
Speaking on the occasion Mukhtar Waza appealed people to follow the path of Islam, traced by Prophet Mohamad (SAW) so that the life of journey becomes fruitful on the Day of Judgment.
He said that valley’s religious intelligentsia should contribute in curbing the immoral activities taking place in our society that has overall affected the society in broader sense.
People’s League delegation prayed for the departed soul and expressed sympathies with the family.
Meanwhile Jammu and Kashmir People’s League also expressed shock over the sad demise of father of Advocate Mohd Ashraf alias Parviaz Hyder, who passed away today this morning in Srinagar.

JKPL shocked over the sad demise of Hurriyat activist
Srinagar, 29 October: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, a constituent of All Parties Hurriyat Conference today paid rich tributes to Hurriyat activist Mohd Yousf Ganie alias Polly Khan of Nambalebal Pampore, who before days got martyred in road accident on Srinagar Jammu National Highway near Nandni Jammu.
A high level party delegation of Jammu Kashmir Peoples League headed by Party Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad waza visited residence of  Hurriyat activist Namblebal  Pampore and while paying rich tributes to the departed soul, expressed solidarity and heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family.
While speaking, Senior Hurriyat Leader and Chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza hailed the role that Mohd Yousf Ganie had played from past 20 years in the ongoing freedom movement and described him a great loss to the movement.
He said that Khan was imprisoned several times and had remained in jail for about 8 years and during which he sacrificed his precious time but remained economically backward that bestowed odd days for him and his family but he never compromised with his ideology and in lost years he started living his life by opting driving profession.
He expressed serious concern over the fact that people in the valley aren’t coming out to help the people especially the victims of Kashmir resistance movement that has affected a large section of society and had left lakhs of orphans, widows, mentally, physiologically and physically handicapped.
He emphases the need of making strong Batul Malis in every corner of valley on district and state levels so that victims can rehabilated on their steps and appealed Kashmir religious intelligentsia to come and take strong steps in this regard.
On Kashmir issue, Waza said that Kashmir dispute was not a border dispute between India and Pakistan but a question of the future of Kashmiri people. He reiterated that without the inclusion of Kashmiris’ genuine leadership, the dialogue process between Pakistan and India would remain meaningless, as the people of Kashmir were the main party in the dispute. Waza said that the easiest solution available to resolve the 65-year-old dispute was implementation of the resolutions passed by the United Nations. “As long as the Kashmir dispute is not resolved, neither would political uncertainty end in the South Asia nor can the people of the region realize the dream of prosperity and development,” he maintained.

Martyrs have center staged Kashmir Issue: Waza


SRINAGAR, October 22:  While stating that martyrs have center staged Kashmir issue on international level, Executive member of Hurriyat Conference (M) and Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Peoples league, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza on Monday, has paid glowing tributes to the martyrs who fell to the bullet of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in Bijbehara on October 22, 1993.
 At Mazari-e- Shudha Bijberaha  Ijtimahie Fathe Khawani was held on Monday at around 11:00am and Peoples League Chairman, Mukhtar  Waza paid glowing tributes to the martyrs .
He visited the families of Martyrs and expressed sympathies with the families, assuring them that single blood drop of martyrs will not go in vain.
Waza expresses serious concern over the harassment of youths and locals by security agencies, who are participating in programs of Hurriyat conference and similarly security agencies are conducting late night raids on the houses of those youths resulting harassment to them and their families.
He said today people of Bijbehara especially the victim families were not allowed to held fatieh Khwana at Mazri Shudha, that is grave human rights violations and people are being denied of their religious right for world religious organizations should come forward and take a serious note of it.
He said that Kashmiri martyrs sacrificed their lives for a sacred cause and the sacrifices would not be allowed to go waste. They deplored that no action had been taken, so far, against the killers of the innocent people despite passing of 19 years, proving that Indian and Indian agencies are involved in bloodshed that occurred in valley from last 65 years.
“The sacrifices of 1993 and even after that are assets for the movement and can never go waste. Who sacrificed their lives will serve as beacon light for the rest of us.” Waza said adding that Kashmir martyrs have center staged the Kashmir issue and because of the martyrs world on humanitarian grounds wants to resolve the issue.
He said that the ongoing movement would be taken to its logical conclusion and appealed the international community, United Nations and world human rights watch groups to take a serious note of the human rights violations done by the security forces in the valley and to help resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with Kashmiris’ aspirations and relevant United Nations resolutions.
 He said that more than 51 people were martyred, hundreds of got injured by the BSF troopers in Bijehara on October 22, 1993,  when the people of the area held a peaceful demonstration against the siege of Hazratbal shrine by Indian Army .

No peace in Asia till Kashmir resolved, says Waza



Srinagar, Oct 16: Senior APHC Leader and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, has said that the permanent peace in South Asia is not possible without resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.
Mukhtar Waza while addressing party workers and activists in South Kashmir’s Islamabad Distrcit today, stressed that the United Nations could play a constructive role in facilitating meaningful engagement and dialogue between Pakistan, India and the Kashmiris for final resolution of the dispute.
“People of Jammu Kashmir are principle stake holders in the dispute and any settlement of the dispute on Jammu Kashmir should satisfy the aspirations of the people,’ Waza said.
“Peaceful resolution of the dispute of Jammu Kashmir is in the interests of enduring regional peace and stability in south Asia besides in the interests of economic development in the region,’ he said.
He said that both the countries have initiated talks at various levels but they remain unsuccessful because the countries never included kashmiris in those talks.
He stressed upon India and Pakistan to start a meaningful dialogue process, as the dialogue process in the way by which Kashmir issue could be resolved. He said that by this issue kashmiri people are suffering from last 63 years and were badly affected.
He appealed the UN to impress upon India to revoke the draconian laws like Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) from the state, withdraw its troops and release all the illegally detained pro-liberation leaders and activists including youth and minor boys which were arrested during the summer uprising of 2010 street protests. He said that illegally detained pro-freedom leaders and especially minor are being treated by inhuman acts.
He said that claims of India’s Zero tolerance in the valley are proved to hoax as the human rights violations in the valley are increasing continuously done by the Indian troops and other agencies of Indian government and also by the machinery of state government leading to state terrorism in the valley.
He also appealed international human rights watch group to send a team that will visit different jails in which Kashmiri pro-liberation and kashmiri students have been illegally logged, in order to aware firstly themselves and secondly aware world about the inhuman behavior faced by the political prisoners of the valley and also took steps to impress upon India to stop this kind inhuman behavior with the leaders and innocent students.

Waza urges UN to implement its resolutions on Kashmir

Srinagar, October 15: APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has said that Kashmir is an internationally recognised dispute, which needs to be resolved as per relevant resolutions of the United Nations.
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza addressing a party function in Srinagar over telephone from Islamabad town said that India had occupied the territory in violation of the international law and against this forcible occupation the United Nations had passed its first resolution on 13th August in 1948. The resolution advocates settlement of the dispute, he added.
The APHC leader appealed to the UN to implement its resolutions on Kashmir and take cognisance of human rights violations by Indian troops and police personnel in the territory. He said that the Indian forces had, so far, killed thousands of innocent people in fake encounters in occupied Kashmir.
Mukhtar Waza and other participants of the meeting reiterated that the unparalleled sacrifices offered by the Kashmiri people for the Kashmir cause would not be allowed to go waste and the ongoing liberation movement would be taken to its logical end.

Waza demands political solution of Kashmir dispute

Srinagar, October 12 : All Parties Hurriyet Conference leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has demanded total withdrawal of Indian troops, repeal of draconian laws and immediate release of all illegally detained Kashmiri Hurriyet leaders and activists. Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, addressing Juma congregation at Dooru Shahabad in Islamabad town, said that Kashmir was a political dispute and should be resolved politically through meaningful tripartite talks.

He stressed inclusion of true leadership of the Kashmiri people in the dialogue process between Pakistan and India, as without their involvement talks might not succeed. He said that Kashmir was an important dispute that had created uncertainty in the entire South Asian region because it was between the two nuclear powers of South Asia.

He maintained that India wanted to perpetuate its occupation of Kashmir by putting Kashmiri youth behind the bars and killing people randomly. He pointed out that gross human rights violations would continue till the presence of Indian troops in the valley.

The APHC leader said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir had been rendering unparalleled sacrifices for the past over six decades to secure their birthright to self-determination and their sacrifices would never be allowed to go waste.
