SEMINAR OF PEOPLES LEAGUE AT PULWAMA under the theme “Kashmir Imbroglio & its future and Remember Martyrdom of Shaheed-e-Azeemat, Sheikh Abdul Aziz ”

ONE DAY SEMINAR OF PEOPLES LEAGUE AT PULWAMA
Jammu Kashmir Peoples League convened a one day seminar under the theme “Kashmir Imbroglio & its future and Remember Martyrdom of Shaheed-e-Azeemat, Sheikh Abdul Aziz ” which was presided by Peoples League Chief Organizer Pervaiz Ahmad Dar. While speaking on the occasion he said that Shaheed-e-Azeemat, Sheikh Abdul Aziz was a committed and dedicated pro-freedom leader whose sacrifice has given a new dimension to the ongoing Kashmir freedom struggle. His mission shall be taken to the logical conclusion utterly, Pervaiz Dar said. He insisted on greater unity among Kashmiri Hurriyat leadership is need of the hour to take the liberation movement to their logical end. He maintained that an amicable settlement to the Kashmir issue could be reached only through a tripartite dialogue involving India, Pakistan and people of Kashmir, any solution found without taking into account the aspirations of Kashmiri people is bound to fail. Demanding stern action against the culprits in the double rape and murder case in Shopian, Pervaiz Dar said that the government was trying to shield the culprits, instead of showing sympathy with the bruised pride and dignity of Kashmiris, whose daughters have been raped, murdered and mutilated, the puppet authorities have engaged its police and bureaucratic machinery to muzzle the voice of people,” he deplored. He hailed the determination and steadfastness of Shopian people who have been protesting and observing strike for the past one month without any break, demanding punishment to the culprits involved in the heinous crime.
He also insisted the sympathizers and activists of Peoples League to make this peaceful political resistance organization an effective platform to which common Kashmiris will reckon with so that the dream Sheikh Abdul Aziz (Martyr of determination) is fulfilled.
Meanwhile Ghulam Nabi Waseem, while addressing a mammoth gathering in seminar has emphasized that Kashmiris unparalleled sacrifices to secure their right to self-determination will never be allowed to go waste. He urged India to immediately stop human rights violations, repeal black laws, release political detainees and withdraw its troops from the Jammu Kashmir. He said that India has always tried to suppress the voice of Kashmiri people by military might.
Abdul Salam Rajporai, a close associate of Shaheed-e-Azeemat, in a seminar paid rich tributes to the Shaheed-e-Azeemat, Sheikh Abdul Aziz. “Since we are the wardens to the sacrifices of Kashmiris, we have had to carry the mission of martyrs to the logical conclusion,” Salam Rajpori Said.
He said that the puppet administration was unnecessarily delaying the completion of probe into the double murder and rape case despite assurances by the Indian Prime Minister, Manmoham Singh that the culprits would be brought to justice. The killers are at large and the puppet administration is only holding out verbal assurances and doing nothing practically to bring them to justice.
Bashir Ahmad Wani has strongly condemned the arrest of pro-freedom leaders and termed the detention of Hurriyat leaders a tactic to create harassment among the people. He said that such tactics could not break the resolve of Kashmiri people to continue their struggle for right to self-determination.
Ghulam Qadir Rah urged unity among the separatist leadership as imperative and need of an hour, the Kashmir was a political issue that could be resolved politically only through tripartite talks between the Kashmiri leadership, India and Pakistan.
Peace in the subcontinent cannot be restored unless and until the core issue of Kashmir imbroglio is not addressed seriously because it is only peace which can guarantee for the prosperity and development in the region, Qadir said.
Meanwhile Peoples League strongly condemned the arrest of Executive Member and party acting chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza along with four members from Pulwama. They had to attend a seminar organized in connection with the martyrdom of the APHC leader, Sheikh Abdul Aziz. Other who were arrested included General Secretary of PL Muhammad Ashraf Sofi, Spokesman of Pl Ghulam Nabi Darzi, , Muhammad Maqbool Sofi and Eijaz Ahmed.
In the seminar Sheikh Abdul Rashid, brother of martyred Sheikh Abdul Aziz was present along with hundreds of people.

Peoples League delegation visits Shopian

A high profile delegation led by Pervaiz Ahmad Dar Chief Organizer Peoples League visited Shopian to pay tributes to Asiya and Nelofer, who were molested and murdered by Indian armed forces. Describing the Shopian incident the most barbarous and cowardly act, Peoples League demanded an impartial and transparent probe into the episode through independent Human Rights Organizations, Pervaiz said.
Dar reiterated that people of Jammu Kashmir are braving the situation since last six decades under constant subjugation and suppression, moreover Indian armed forces have unleashed reign of terror in Kashmir to kill the sentiment of freedom - the birth right of all Kashmiris.
PL Chief organizer maintained that life of naïve Kashmiris have been made hellish by India and its stooges, now our honour has been kept at stakes which cannot be tolerated. The delegation was accompanied by Ghulam Nabi Waseem, Shakeel-ur Rehman, Ghulam Mohi-u-din shah, Javeed Ahmad and others.

Peoples League announces programmes to commemorate ist martyrdom of Shaheed-e-Azeemat, Sheikh Abdul Aziz


An extra ordinary meeting of Jammu Kashmir Peoples League was convened at party headquarters which was chaired by parties acting Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and was attended by General Secretary along with central council members. This was called in view to commemorate the IST martyrdom of Shaheed-e-Azeemat, Sheikh Abdul Aziz. In the meeting final shape was given to the programmes to observe his martyrdom. In this context District Level Seminars/ Symposiums will be conducted and Blood Donation Camp will be held at party headquarters Rajbagh Srinagar for which separate dates will be publicized to the general public. In the meeting a committee was formulated which will supervise by the party General Secretary Mohammad Ashraf Sofi along with Gh. Nabi Waseem, Pervaiz Ahmad Dar, Shakeel-ul-Rehman and Ghulam Mohi-u-din. in the meeting Peoples League pays tributes to the martyrs who have laid their lives for the freedom struggle and added that the mission of Shaheed-e-Azeemat, Sheikh Abdul Aziz shall be carried to the logical conclusion..at party headquaters wcchih was chaired by partyes
It is pertinent to mention that Sheikh Abdul Aziz achieved martyrdom on 11th August 2008 at Chayal Boniyar Uri, Baramulla while heading a peaceful protest march to smash away LOC (Bloody line) during on to Muzaffarabad (Muzaffarabad Chalo) in view of the economic blockade enforced on Kashmiris by Hindu fanatics of Jammu.

Unity Among The Pro-Freedom Leadership As Imperative Sheikh Mohammad Yaqoob

Chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Sheikh Mohammad Yaqoob in a statement has strongly denounced the illegal detention of pro-freedom leaders & activists and demanded immediate release of Hurriyat leaders including Syed Ali Gilani, Shabir Ahmed Shah, Aasiya Andrabi, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Mohammad Yousuf Mir and Muhammad Saleem Nunnaji. Sheikh Yaqoob reiterated that India has been suppressing this political movement by the use of force that has created hundreds of graveyards in the state where lakhs of martyrs lie buried, and added that there is hardly a jail or torture chamber in India where Kashmiris have not endured years of unspeakable pain and suffering, and the process of killing and jailing pro-movement people continues to this day, Yaqoob said. Sheikh Yaqoob urged unity among the separatist leadership as imperative and need of an hour, the Kashmir was a political issue that could be resolved politically only through tripartite talks between the kashmiri leadership, India and Pakistan. He also insisted the sympathizers and activists of Peoples League to make this peaceful political resistance organization an effective platform to which common Kashmiris will reckon with so that the dream of Shaheed-e-Azeemat, Sheikh Abdul Aziz (Martyr of determination) is fulfilled. He appealed common masses of people to solicit their sincere co-operation and timely suggestions so that Jammu Kashmir Peoples League will emerge as a full-flagged pro-freedom democratic political organization, Yaqoob said.
While condemning the molestation and murder of two women in Shopian Peoples League chairman said that India has deployed more than 7 lakh of its forces in Kashmir to silence the voice of Kashmiris, who are resisting for their just cause (Freedom). “We will never succumb to any sort of oppression and will continue to struggle for the right to self determination”, Yaqoob said. He demanded an independent probe should be done and the culprits should be booked for committing such heinous crime.

Sheikh Yaqoob condemn troops firing on protesters in Shopian

Chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Sheikh Mohammad Yaqoob has strongly condemned the undeclared curfew and unprovoked firing on the peaceful protesters by Indian armed forces in South Kashmir District, Shopian.
Sheikh Yaqoob said that opening indiscriminate fire on peaceful protesters and arresting Hurriyat leaders were the tactics adopted by the Indian government to muzzle the voice of Kashmiri people.
He said, “The terror unleashed by Indian troopers to quell the voices of people unveils the real face of Indian democracy in Kashmir. “The way criminal activities of Indian forces are escalating in Kashmir is alarming for us”, he said.
The PL Chairman said that the freedom movement of Kashmir had reached to that particular end wherefrom it would be impossible for Indian government to pull it back. “It is important for India to revoke the black laws and demilitarize the Jammu Kashmir,” he added.
