Martyrs’ sacrifices centre-staged Kashmir globally: JKPL

Srinagar, February 14 : Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL) said that the martyrs’ sacrifices had centre-staged the Kashmir dispute at international level and they would not be allowed to go waste.

The JKPL leader, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza in a statement issued in Srinagar, paid glowing tributes to Ghulam Muhammad Bulla of Sopore on his 37th martyrdom anniversary. Ghulam Muhammad Bulla was arrested by Indian police and killed in custody on February 15, 1975 for leading a protest rally against Indra-Abdullah Accord in Sopore.

Waza said, "Kashmir is the core dispute between the two nuclear powers of the region. If the issue is not included in the agenda and there is no positive headway for its resolution, the talks are bound to fail."

He urged India to eschew its stubbornness and include the dispute in the forthcoming talks between Pakistan and India. “Right from 1947,India has been trying to suppress the voice of Kashmiris but neither they succeeded in the past, nor would in future,” he maintained.

Reiterating his demand for demilitarisation, Mukhtar Waza said, “Immediate and complete cessation of military and paramilitary actions against the civilian population in Jammu Kashmir, withdrawal of troops from the towns and villages, dismantling of bunkers and barricades, release of political prisoners and annulment of draconian laws are must for the protection of life and property of the people.”

He reiterated the Kashmiris’ pledge to continue the liberation struggle until its logical conclusion against all odds.

Islamabad’s leading businessman, Bilal Wani bereaved

Srinagar, Feb, 12: 2012: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Islamabad’s leading businessman, Bilal Ahmad Wani. Hurriyat leader along with his party activists visited the house of Bilal Ahmad Wani and participated in the Nimaz-e-Jinaza.

Mukthar Waza, in a Statement, Issued from Srinagar termed the sad demise of businessman a big loss for society and especially for Islamabad district.

It is worth to mention the 40 years old, Bilal Ahmad Wani, died this morning due to heart attack. Mukthar waza, said that the said person was helpful for every one especially for poor, widows and conflict effected people, also he had done tremendous job in social and religious circles.

Later, Hurriyat leader visited the bereaved family and expressed solidarity and sympathies with them.

Waza condemns Rafiabad killing

Srinagar, Feb,11:Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has strongly condemns the killing 20-year-old, Ashiq Hussain Rather, resident of Lessir Rafiabad Baramullaha by the troops of 32 Rashtriya Rifles and termed it as worst kind of barbarism and aggression and added that such incidents raps Indian PM Manmohan Singhs zero tolerance which he committed several times.

Mukhtar Waza said, killing of innocent youth and continued human rights violations by policemen and troops, deployed in Kashmir is to suppress the ongoing righteous movement for right to self-determination. The killing spree is going on unchecked in Kashmir due black laws given to the armed forces in Kashmir.

JKPL Chairman has expressed sympathy with the family of the deceased boy said, the sacrifices and blood of Kashmiris will bear fruit and the clouds of oppression and tyranny will make way to the dawn of liberation. He appeals to the international community to take strong steps to stop the continued human rights violations in Kashmir.

He said that the troops are quit busy in Committing cross roads volitions in the valley.
