Senior Hurriyat Leader and Acting Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has strongly condemns the killing of two innocent kashmiri youth one in Harnagh village, Milat Ahmad Dar - an 8yr old boy and Mohd Abbas Dobi in Mattan of Islamabad district by indian security forces. Waza has expressed serious concern over the ongoing killings and termed it as genocide of teenagers. “If the genocide of teenagers is not stopped it could have serious consequences,” he warned. Waza reteirated that if New Delhi didn’t give up its anti-people policy in kashmir the situation would further deteriorate. He maintained that India used several suppressive methods to weaken the ongoing Kashmir liberation movement but couldn’t succeed in its nefarious designs.
Waza strongly denounced the use of excessive force by the police on the peaceful demonstrators at Soura Srinagar who were protesting against the killings of innocent people in the valley. He said that the police arrested several peaceful demonstrators and termed it highly condemnable.
Waza said brutal Indian forces have killed more than 60 innocent people during the past over two months. He said seven million population of the Valley has been put under curfew and all basic amenities have been denied to them. He said people are being prevented from performing their religious obligations and hundreds of places of worship including historic Jamia Masjid and Dargah Hazratbal have been turned into cantonments.
Waza said the free World must raise the human rights issue with India, and let India know that killing of innocent civilians in the name of terrorism will not be allowed. India should be stopped deciving the World.
Waza said that instead of resolving the Kashmir dispute, India was using coercive means to muzzle the just voice of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination.
