Mukhtar Waza condemns Civilian Killings in Chetergam Budgam
Demands withdrawal of troops, AFSPA
Srinagar, Nov 04: Terming the killing of two civilians in Chetrigam Budgam by Indian armed forces as a barbaric and brutal, Senior APHC leader and Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad today demanded complete withdrawal of Indian troops from Kashmir and revocation of Armed Forces Specail Powers Act (AFSPA).
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, who is under house detention since from last over five days, in an issued statemnet paid rich tributes to the youth who were martyred by Indian army yesterday when they were travelling in a car. He expressed sympathy with the families of martyred and also prayed for the early recovery of the two other injured.

“The killing of two youth in cold blood is the height of brutalities inflicted upon Kashmiris by New Delhi. The statement of so-called government agencies on the incident are insult to our injuries.” He said.
He said that Indian armed forces were killing Kashmiris under the grab of AFSPA which gives them the license to kill Kashmiris. He said that incident wasn’t new incident but similar killings are taking place across Kashmir since 1947 for demanding the right of self-determination.
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza urged international community to take a strong note of this barbarism being perpetrated by Indian armed forces and demanded impartial probe into the civilian killings through international judiciary organization besides a complete withdrawal of Indian armed forces from Kashmir who have converted the valley virtually into a jail.
He also condemned the imposition of serve restrictions, curfew in the areas of Nowgam-Budgam and use of brute force on peaceful protesters protesting against the civilian killings.
Paying rich tributes to Karbala martyrs, Waza condemned imposition of curbs on Muhram processions.
