Peoples League pays rich tributes to Shaheed Mohammad Maqbool Bhat

Jammu Kashmir Peoples League convened an extraordinary meeting at its party headquarter Srinagar chaired by senior Hurriyat leader and acting chairman of PL Mukhtar Ahmad Waza along with other senior Peoples League leaders which includes Gh. Qadir Rah, Mohammad Maqbool Sofi, Gh. Nabi Waseem. Imtiyaz Reshi, Afaaq Ahmad, Raouf Kashmiri, Umar Khalid, Tahir Hussain and Ali Mohammad. In a meeting a threadbare discussion was held on present political scenario of Kashmir. Peoples League paid rich tributes to prominent liberation leader Shaheed Mohammad Maqbool Bhat on his 28th Matyrdoom anniversary. Peoples League maintained that Kashmiris have rendered countess sacrifices for the Kashmir cause and reiterated that the mission of this great martyr along with other martyrs will be taken to the logical end, come what may. Peoples League hailed the services of Maqbool Bhat, which he had rendered for the Kashmir cause. Maqbool Bhat was a glowing star in Kashmir’s political history and would remain alive in the hearts of Kashmiris for his steadfastness, sincerity and commitment to the freedom struggle. Peoples League had always favoured meaningful and result-oriented dialogue for resolving the long-pending Kashmir dispute in accordance with Kashmiris aspirations. The participants of the meeting were of the view that the amicable settlement of the dispute through meaningful dialogue was must for permanent peace in South Asia.
