Kashmir dispute has assumed centre stage: APHC


EXECUTIVE MEETING

All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that the Kashmir dispute has assumed centre stage at the global level and the international community is fully cognizant of the urgency of resolving it in accordance with the Kashmiris aspirations.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq briefing the APHC Executive Council including Prof. Abdul Gani Bhat, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Bilal Gani Lone, Aga Syed, Abbas Ansari, Abdullah Tari and Musadiq Adil today, about his recent visit to America, Britain and Geneva, he said that the world powers acknowledged the genuine and indigenous character of the Kashmir liberation movement.

The APHC leaders said on the occasion that the people of Kashmir were being made victims of political vendetta by awarding sentences of death and life imprisonment to their youth. They denounced certain reports published in the media in this regard saying that these were meant to defame the APHC.
