Peoples League insists People of North Kashmir to stay away from poll drama

Jammu Kashmir Peoples League in a statement has expressed serious concern over the plight of those families whose kith and kin have been disappeared in custody. “Kashmir is the only piece of land where one finds more than six thousand half-widows, we can feel their agony, distress and sufferings,” said, Sheikh Mohammad Yaqoob, Chairman Peoples League, adds that the discovery of unmarked graves in North Kashmir and some bordering areas of Jammu is a candid reality to the fact that Indian armed forces are killing Kashmiris in fake encounters and labeling them as foreign militants and urges HR communities like Amnesty International, Asia Watch, Red Cross, ICRC, etc to enquire whereabouts of disappeared Kashmiris.
Sheikh Yaqoob maintains that the farcical elections could never change the status of the Kashmir dispute. Peoples League insists Kashmiris to stay away from poll drama, and New Delhi strategists are mistaken, if they consider that they can kill the on-going movement by pressure tactics and strongly condemns the constant house arrest of Hurriyat leadership. Sheikh Yaqoob reiterated that Kashmir has entered into a decisive phase where pro-freedom leaders have to remain meticulous and apply proper mind set to sort out the future course of action because Kashmir being the nuclear flashpoint between Pakistan and India therefore no peace is possible in the region if Kashmir issue remains unresolved.
