Peoples league has paid glowing tributes to Gaw Kadal martyrs on their 22nd martyrdom anniversary

Mukhtar aAhmad Waza has paid glowing tributes to Gaw Kadal martyrs on their 22nd martyrdom
anniversary on January 21,
In a statement waza, said more than 52 persons were martyred and 250 others injured in the firing by forces in January 21, 1990, at Gaw Kadal here. “The Gaw Kadal massacre was a well thought out plan to pave way for Kashmiri Pandits’ exodus from Kashmir,” said Waza, urging the international human rights organizations to set up an international independent tribunal to probe the Gawkadal Massacre so that the conspirators be unmasked and punished under the international humanitarian law.


Jammu Kashmir Peoples League said that the
sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not be allowed to go waste and their mission would be taken to its logical conclusion. While speaking in the colloquium

Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza said that Kashmiri martyrs centre-staged Kashmir dispute at the international level. He reiterated the pledge to continue the liberation struggle, despite all
odds. Waza has urged people to pray for the elevation-status of
Kashmiri martyrs.
Mukhtar Waza maintained that unfortunately, the people of Jammu and
Kashmir were still kept deprived of right to self-determination and
the promises made with them at international level were not fulfilled.
. “The authorities can not suppress the Kashmiris’ liberation
struggle through use of brute force,” he added. Waza said that the
acts of Indian state terrorism perpetrated against innocent Kashmiris
were aimed at silencing their just voice for right to
self-determination, but the people of Jammu and Kashmir will continue
their struggle for securing right to self-determination till its
logical end.
