Waza Condems Boniyar Killing

Srinagar, Jan 03, 2012: Execative Member of Hurriyet Conference (M) and Chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples Leauge, Mukthar Ahmad Waaz has strongly condemned the killing of Altaf Ahmad Sood, a 12 class student, in firing by police personnel on peaceful protesters demonstrating against power cuts

The spokesperson for the Jammu Kashmir Peoples League in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed deep shock and anguishes over the killing and had termed it worst kind of human right violation and state terrorism. “Height of state terrorism” was that even the innocent people are being beaten by batons and killed for their legitimate demands like electricity and water supply.” He said: “It is evident that Kashmir is being ruled by police and Army.”

Waza said,” Our power is being sold outside of the state, but when we ask for electricity we get bullets,” Further he said Killing of innocent Kashmiri people by India is a continuous process and security forces are busy with killing and committing cross root human rights violations in the state

JKPL Chairman has expressed sympathy with the family of the deceased boy said, the sacrifices and blood of Kashmiris will bear fruit and the clouds of oppression and tyranny will make way to the dawn of liberation. He appeals to the international community to take strong steps to stop the continued human rights violations in Kashmir.
