Peoples League Leaders arrested
All APHC leaders were put under house arrest in view of first martyrdoom of Shaheed-e-Azeemat, Sheikh Abdul Aziz. Senior APHC leader and Acting chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Mukhtar Ahmad Waza along with Sheikh Abdul Rashid (Brother of Sheikh Abdul Aziz) and Mohammad Ashraf vaid (General Secretary PL) offered Fateh Khawani at Martyrs Grave yard and paid floral tributes to Shaheed-e-Azeemat, Sheikh Abdul Aziz. Peoples League Reiterated that blood of martyrs would not go waste but would definitely bring positive results, it was result of Kashmiri martyrs that today the Kashmir dispute had been discussed in international forums and the world community had taken keen interest in its solution. They maintained that this is the historic day for us and we will remember Sheikh Abdul Aziz and other martyrs on this day today and always in future. They said that mission of martyrs will be taken to logical conclusion.
While traveling towards Pampore (residence of Sheikh Abdul Aziz), Sheikh Abdul Rashid were arrested by Rajbagh police and detained him at police station Rajbagh. Whileas Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Mohammad Ashraf Vaid, Ghulam Qadir Rah and others were arrested by Pampore police and detained them in Pampore police station.
Chairman Peoples League Sheikh Mohammad Yaqoob has strongly condemns the arrest of senior Hurriyat leaders and said that such tactics would not suppress the ongoing freedom movement and added that we will forward mission of Shaheed-e-Azeemat, Sheikh Abdul Aziz to logical conclusion till the last drop of our blood.
