PEOPLES LEAGUE PAID HOMAGE TO Abdul Majeed Rah

A high level delegation of Jammu Kashmir Peoples League visited residence of Abdul Majeed Rah, who was met with an accident at sopore a days before and succumbs in SKIMS, Srinagar where he was battle for his life for two days. Abdul Majeed Rah was the younger brother of senior Peoples League Leader (Publicity Secretary PL) Gh. Qadir Rah Sahab. Jammu Kashmir Peoples League extends heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family and prays let the departed soul rest in peace and the next of kith and kin have the patience and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss of the member of the family. While addressing in a condolence meeting at Model Town Sopore Senior Hurriyat Leader and Acting Chairman JKPL Mukhtar Ahmad Waza reiterating that the ongoing liberation movement will be taken to its logical conclusion and maintained that the Kashmir dispute can be resolved by implementing the relevant UN resolutions. Waza said that the people of Kashmiri had been rendering matchless sacrifices for securing their right to self-determination. He pointed out that it was the responsibility of India to honour the commitments made by its leaders before the UN to settle the dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris aspirations. The senior Hurriyat leader stated that for ensuring permanent peace in South Asia, settlement of the dispute over Kashmir was imperative, which had been cause of three wars between two nuclear neighbours, Pakistan and India. Rejecting the self-rule and autonomy proposals by pro-India parties, Waza urged them to join Hurriyat camp if they were sincere to find out a solution to the Kashmir dispute. The leaders who attend the condolence meeting includes Secretary General PL, Mohd Ashraf Vaid, Mohd Mabool Sofi, Nazir Ahmad, Gh. Nabi Waseem, Manzoor Ahmad , Adil and Shabir Ahmad Dar.
